Welcome to Blessedhope Australian Shepherds "Raising family members, not just dogs!" We own and enjoy purebred Australian Shepherds. We enjoy showing for conformation, running the dogs in agility, taking the dogs on horseback rides and on family outings.  We raise several litters a year and enjoy giving the puppies the utmost care and love.  We raise well socialized, well adjusted puppies that are a blessing to all who get to have them as part of their family.  We hope you enjoy looking through our site.  We live in beautiful Southern California with a half acre for the dogs to run and play.

We are a small hobby ranch with 7 Aussies, 4 horses, several chickens and a lot of love! We are proud to have our International Champion sire "Blessedhope Burnin' For You"(Burnie) as well as our International Champion girl "Blessedhope Porsche Smiles"(Porsche)Porsche has been doing very well in the show ring and is now major pointed in ASCA and AKC. We also have two other girls with excellent pedigrees and wonderful dispositions. Their names are "Blessedhope The Whole Shabang"(Honeycomb) and "Idlewild Dance Diva"(Diva). Our two newest additions in our Aussie family are "Blessedhope Keepin' the Faith"(Faith) and "Blessedhope Things R Lookin' Up" (Hope)Our strong willed red darling has been doing amazing at both ASCA and AKC shows! We have been showing her since she was 4 months old and she won BOB or BOS puppy several times, she already has a five point major in ASCA and has won several Res Winner in ASCA and at her first AKC she won Res Winner as well. We are excited about her, and know she will have an amazing show career. By an unforeseen miracle, we got to keep "Blessedhope Music To My Ears" (Harmony). We have been showing her at the ASCA shows  since she was just 9 weeks old!  She has won BOB puppy or BOS puppy several times!!

We have been showing some of our dogs in conformation since Jan. 2009 and have learned so much about showing dogs! We have shown horses for many many years but showing dogs was a new venture! We also love agility and in the past took our dogs to agility 3 nights a week. (talk about great exercise and great bonding time!) Anyway, we highly recommend agility for a great time and it is a fun way to meet good animal loving people. We plan on starting back this summer!
All our dogs have their hips and eyes cleared and are DNA'd before we breed them to do our part to better the breed. We don't practice to much "line breeding " or "in breeding" and make it a priority to stick with sound, healthy bloodlines in each of our dogs. We don't want to have more dogs than we can give adequate attention to, so we limit the total number. (It is so hard at times to resist keeping a puppy or two in each litter!)

When we have puppies, we do all that we can to have healthy, well adjusted puppies that are raised with children and other dogs as well as being exposed to the horses, chickens, and cats that are in the barn. Our puppies are given the best care possible, we handle them more than imaginable and they always have plenty of room to run and play. We strive to keep the areas they are in as clean as absolutely possible and begin paper training them as soon as they are walking. We even have a kids climbing station that they learn to climb up the stairs and slide down the slide very quickly and enjoy playing on that with the children!
We make our puppies a very high priority and we love every minute of it!
